Norway is teaching male immigrants how to treat women. So is Finland. It's uncomfortable to talk about for obvious reasons, but maybe this (please don't rape women) is something that transcends culture? Maybe?

This memorial to a dead roach was super fun to read about! I was hoping Jesus candles would play a part, AND THEY DID.

A food fight at Oberlin College. I loved the analysis of how these students turned "the cafeteria food sucks" into a complaint that the administration felt they could not ignore since it was couched in terms of cultural appropriation. Very interesting.

There are so many reasons not to care about anything to do with Miss Universe, but I can't turn away from the total train wreck that was the wrong winner being announced. Awkward all around.
