Castle nativity mystery

We were at Turku Castle yesterday (with our friends from Tucson days, Eevi and Troy, who OF COURSE I neglected to take a single photo of!). Epiphany was only just on Friday, so there were still a few Christmas things in the castle.

This included a nativity scene. And as soon as the girls and I saw it, we noticed something. Some ONE. Perhaps you do, too:

So the question is: is this some kind of joke or prank, or did they repurpose Qui-gon Jinn as a fearsome angel in earnest?
