Church in English

Church in English

Church today in English for the first time in two years...wow. It was like when you get on your bike to start riding it, and start pedaling and realize you are in a much, much lower gear than you thought. Church in Finland is real, hard, linguistic work. But sitting there today, my brain could just understand. It was like butter melting and sliding across the pan - effortless and smooth. Church in English! Amazing.

I also really enjoyed singing some patriotic songs today - America the Beautiful and the national anthem as well. In the past, we have hesitated to make a point of being here for the Fourth of July - the plane tickets often cost more (though not this year). But it's worth it.
