Morjes!

Welcome to my blog. I write about fitting in, sticking out, and missing the motherland as a serial foreigner.

In the trunk

The paperwork isn't done, so I suppose anything could happen, but we have an agreement to sell our car. I will be so sorry to see this beauty go - we have such good memories of adventures in our Rav4.

Rav

In preparation for handing over ownership, I cleaned it out yesterday - every nook and cranny, every compartment, every pouch and pocket. I'm so glad to be doing this now, two weeks ahead of departure, rather than thinking I'm done packing and then finding all this stuff.

Seriously, all this stuff! Mostly I found candy wrappers and old maps. Then I opened up the hidden under-portion of the trunk. I didn't realize that if the zombie apocalypse happened while we were in our car, we would have been prepared. Thanks to Jeremy!

From left: sledgehammer, hacksaw, crowbar, prybar, folding shovel, duct tape, zipties, seatbelt-cutting scissors, FIXA tool box, tow rope, multi-tool, metal stake, gloves, connector thingy, rope, backpack w/sunhats and other stuff, bottled water, gas can, and towel.

What's in your trunk? I'm pretty sure I win.
